This week we are excited to announce our #1inaMillion Golfer Gavin Mitchell from Raising Golfers Golf Academy in Carlsbad, CA.
Gavin was nominated by his golf coach Travis Howser. He said, "Gavin has fallen in love with golf through Operation 36 so much that he wants to practice and play every day. He of course wants to get better but makes sure he has a great time while doing so. Throughout this winter he would practice most nights until dark and then started using glow balls so that he could stay late into the dark. He started playing golf last May and joined Operation 36 last July. He is currently on Division 5 and loves everything about Operation 36!”
He continued, “Last week he told his dad one of his goals was to have a hole-in-one this year. We all know that it is a tough thing to achieve even in a lifetime. Gavin made his first hole-in-one two days after he told his dad this goal. His sportsmanship, encouragement, and kindness towards others are unlike most his age and he makes that contagious around him. He is a great person.”
Congratulations Gavin! We love your enthusiasm and dedication to your golf game. Your future in golf looks bright! Keep up the positive work on the golf course.
The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers to the game and retaining them for the long term. Now, the company will be sharing the stories of these tremendous golfers and their coaches with our wider community, using the #1inaMillion.
