Congratulations to this week's #1inaMillion Golfer - 14 year old Joey Singer from Greencastle Golf Club in Greencastle, Pennsylvania!
Joey was nominated by his coach Gabriel Jaime. He had this to say, "Joey is a dedicated player. Shows up early to class, stays after class, and also volunteers to help with other classes. Joey is a true leader for his team."
He continued, "After putting in the practice and playing multiple rounds in 2020 Joey passed division three and told me he figured it out. After shooting a 34, he then goes and shoots a 36 for division four and a 37 in division five. After his last match for the year, as a Freshman playing on the High School team he told everyone, ‘better watch out I am coming for the #1 spot’!"
Way to go Joey! You are a leader on and off the golf course! We look forward to seeing your continued success!
The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers to the game and retaining them for the long term.
