This week, we are happy to announce our #1inaMillion Golfer, Nellie Wilkinson of The Dalles Country Club in The Dalles, Oregon
Nellie was nominated by her Operation 36 Coach Travis Kane. He said, “Nellie's hard work and dedication has lent her to be the furthest in the playing skill ranks as well be a major contributor to her High School golf team's success.” He continued, “We were at the high school team's first event of the season. Nellie came off the course dejected about her score and was apologizing for her performance - thinking she had let her team down. You had to see the sadness on her face. The event coordinator came to the podium to announce the results, "......2nd place for Ladies Individual - NELLIE WILKINSON!" The smile that immediately came across her face was bigger than ear to ear.”

The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers to the game and retaining them for the long term.
