This week, we are thrilled to announce our next nominee for #1inaMillion Golfer is Sky Bohnert from Big Spring Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
Sky was nominated by her Operation 36 Coach Jake Martin. He had this to say about Sky: “Sky is one of the most determined player we have. She is coachable, driven and very talented. The joy if coaching Sky is when you challenge her she digs in and will not stop working until she accomplishes the goal. The most impressive part of watching Sky compete is her focus. She is always smiling, but don't let that fool you - she is grinding so she can pass her division. period.”
He continued, “Sky’s’ personality is infectious. While she is driven to succeed, she really enjoys the process. She also has recently started playing local junior events in Louisville. In less than a year of competing she has one 2nd place finish and won her first event this past week. She punctuated her win with a birdie on her last hole!”

The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers to the game and retaining them for the long term.
