Congratulations to this week's #1inaMillion Golfer nomination Sydney! Sydney was nominated by her Operation 36 Coach Sam Giallombardo. She plays golf at Keith Hills Golf Club in Lillington, NC.
Sam had this to say about Sydney, “I am nominating Sydney for all of her hard work in reaching her goal of beating Division 3 (100yards), to greatly improving her putting skills to shoot low numbers, and for increasing her performance in attempting tournaments outside Operation 36 to grow as a player!”
He continues, “Since being with us, she blew through Division 1 & Division 2, but once getting to Division 3, we began to discover that putting was where she really needed to place a greater degree of focus. Being a little reluctant about not focusing on further improvement of her full swing techniques, given that she was averaging 6-7 greens in regulation, and a couple of meetings with her and her family, we were all able to agree that working a bit more on putting would benefit her much more than being able to hit 8-9 greens in regulation per round. Sydney having a tremendous work ethic worked diligently on improving her putting! She went from averaging 21 in Division 3, to averaging 18 putts in Division 4. Based on her age current performance in Op36, Sydney is Is “On Pace” to play D1 College golf! Tremendous work Syd!”
We love your enthusiasm for the game and golf Sydney and look forward to seeing you accomplish more of your golf goals! Congrats!
The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers to the game and retaining them for the long term. Now, the company will be sharing the stories of these tremendous golfers and their coaches with our wider community, using the #1inaMillion.
