At Operation 36, we know that golf is about so much more than just scores — it’s about character, passion, and the lessons learned both on and off the course. That’s exactly why Coach Bill Thompson at 3 Lakes Golf Course has nominated Colton as our latest #1inaMillion golfer.
From the very beginning, Colton has shown a special enthusiasm not just for golf, but for life. Every round, every hole, and every shot is an opportunity for him to enjoy the game he loves — and it shows. As Coach Bill shared, “He doesn’t play to be a great golfer — he plays because he really loves to play golf.”
Beyond his passion for the game, what makes Colton truly stand out are the qualities he brings with him to the course every day: humility, kindness, and resilience. During his very first Operation 36 9-hole event, Coach Bill watched Colton face the kind of tough hole that can shake many young players. But instead of getting frustrated, Colton demonstrated a remarkable ability to refocus, bounce back, and keep playing with a positive attitude.
Coach Bill put it best: “He exhibits what it takes to be a good golfer and a great person.”
We are proud to celebrate Colton as a #1inaMillion golfer and an outstanding example of what makes the Operation 36 community so special. His love for the game, his positive spirit, and his character are what golf — and life — are truly all about.
Congratulations, Colton!
