Robin Engler

Operation 36 Golf | #1inaMillion Golfer

At Operation 36, we believe golf is more than a game—it's a journey. And every once in a while, a student comes along who reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Meet Robin Engler.

Nominated by her coach Cody Pitz, PGA, Robin is the definition of a #1inaMillion golfer. She joined the Operation 36 program at her local course, The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club, in Aloha, Oregon a few years ago—never having played golf before. But what she may have lacked in experience, she more than made up for with enthusiasm, energy, and heart.

Robin works in golf apparel merchandising at a small company you might’ve heard of—Nike. For over two decades, she’s helped outfit PGA and LPGA Tour players behind the scenes. But it wasn’t until Operation 36 that she stepped onto the course herself and started her own golf journey.

From her very first class, Robin’s infectious attitude lit up the group. Her optimism and kindness quickly made her a core part of the OP 36 women’s program. She’s always the first to cheer others on, and the last to leave the course without offering words of encouragement or a laugh.

And speaking of laughs—Robin has created some unforgettable memories along the way. She’s one of the only students to ever get lost during an on-course social match. And in her early days, she once asked what the sand bottle on the cart was for… mistaking it for something entirely different (let’s just say it involved male golfers and leave it at that).

But don’t let the humor fool you—Robin’s commitment to improvement is inspiring. She’s made progress every semester and is currently working toward passing the 100-yard division. Her lifetime goal? To play 18 holes in Hawaii.

What makes Robin truly special is not just her personal growth, but how she uplifts those around her. Her presence makes others feel comfortable, welcomed, and part of something bigger.

Coach Cody said it best: “There is a hope and happiness in Robin that both coaches and students can feel immediately.”

Robin, thank you for being a shining example of what it means to be part of the Operation 36 community. Your journey is just getting started—and we’re honored to be a part of it.

You truly are #1inaMillion.
