Alex Inspires as the Operation 36 #1inAMillion Golfer
Alex, a golfer at 3 Lakes Golf Course in Pittsburgh, PA, has been named an Operation 36 #1inAMillion Golfer for his competitive drive, determination, and outstanding character on and off the course. Recently moving up to Level 3, Alex embraced the challenge of his first 9-hole event with confidence and focus, setting his sights on shooting a perfect 36..
Throughout each round, Alex methodically planned each shot and stayed locked in on his goal. Watching him pursue excellence with such determination was inspiring—especially at his age. But what stood out most was his joy for the game. When asked afterward if he truly thought he would shoot a 36, Alex simply smiled and said, “No…but I sure had fun making a run at it!”
His coach, Bill Thompson, shared how much Alex’s approach has meant to him:
“His fierce competitive nature and relentless determination are matched only by the strength of his outstanding character. Watching Alex pursue excellence has deeply impacted me as a coach and gives me hope for the promise of tomorrow’s youth.”
— Bill Thompson
Alex is a perfect example of what the #1inAMillion Award represents—setting bold goals, enjoying the journey, and inspiring others through effort and attitude. Congratulations to Alex on this well-earned recognition!
