Raleigh, NC—North Carolina-based golf player development program released 3 significant features to all Operation 36 participants in the mobile app.
The features include:
Training 2.0 - A digital practice guide with games to make training fun and purposeful outside of class.
Golf Journal - A central hub for storing ah-ha moments when a golfer plays, practices, or attends class.
Social Share feature - Golfers can make fun Op 36 Activity graphics that they can store to their photos to save as memories, or share on social media with friends.
Training 2.0 is designed to be a beginner golfer’s digital training partner. Through the app, the golfer will know what and how to practice outside of class and will be motivated to train their skills. Golfers will be provided with specific training activities and games to support their development. Golfers can also share their progress and training sessions with their Operation 36 coach directly.
Next, the player development program introduced the Golf Journal. This innovative tool allows golfers to record what they are learning on the course and helps them capture those lessons. The Golf Journal is a player’s one-stop shop for writing, storing, and organizing notes. It is easy and convenient to take notes in one place, then easily review those notes for future playing and training sessions.
Finally, through the app upgrades, all Operation 36 golfers will be able to easily share their achievement with Social Share. Each playing, training, and social activity you complete comes with a nice graphic that is easy to share on social media or can be saved as memories to their photos.
“We aim to design the best beginner golf development experience through the Op 36 program and technology. No beginner should ever feel lost or confused as they are learning to play golf. These innovative features are addressing a few of the common pain points for beginner golfers and their coaches. It is a tool that has never been created before in one seamless platform and we are thrilled to offer these solutions to our golfers and our coaches. With Golf Genius as our parent company we are able to continue to invest in new features and are accelerating our roadmap. Stay tuned, there is more to come!” said Matt Reagan, co-founder of Operation 36.

About Operation 36
Operation 36 is a Division of Golf Genius and is the most effective developmental program to teach beginners how to play golf. All new players begin on the course, and instead of starting at the tee box, they play from 25 yards away from the hole. Once the player shoots par (36) from 25 yards, they back up to 50 yards, and so on, until they are shooting even par (36) from the full tee box. Participants engage in weekly classes taught by golf professionals and all progress of the golfers is tracked in the Operation 36 Platform. The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers and retaining them for the long term.
