Being able to review your year is becoming a normal feature of most apps these days. Whether it is Spotify’s Wrapped or Whoop’s Year in Review. These awesome little features are so powerful because they allow us to look back and remember how much we accomplished. Without it, we would probably have forgotten most of it. That is why it is so important that you have a way to show your yearly impact at your facility. Because if you don’t your club will most likely forget how much you did! 

Without Tracking Data You Cannot Show Your Value

Before you can show your value, you first need to track the data that matters! If you coach at a golf facility you should be tracking two sets of data. The first should be your actual coaching business. The second is the facility usage of your students. 

Your Coaching Data

This type of data is hopefully something you already keep track of. At a bare minimum this is the data we suggest you track:

  • Number of programs offered
  • Number of students enrolled in programs and taught in private lessons
  • If you are at a private facility - the number of members and non-members taught 

Facility Usage Data 

For most facilities the big 3 data points that matter the most are rounds played, food and beverage sales, and merchandise sales. As a coach, you should be tracking this info for your students and their families. Other data we would recommend includes:

  • Private Facilities 
    • Number of students who renewed their memberships
    • Anyone that became a member because of your programs or lessons 
    • Anyone that upgraded memberships because of your programs or lessons 
  • Public Facilities - if applicable
    • Range usage/range memberships from your students 
    • Yearly cart fees
